i wish the weather would make up its mind. the window in my room faces north. at night there is no wind. i wake up around eight in the morning and it's cold. the light is hot and the breeze is chilly. the kitchen window faces north and the door faces south. one side of the sky is bright blue and cheerful and the other side is stormy grey. after which it starts to rain while it's sunny. i mean, what the hell?
i'm especially upset because i went out for a run today in bright sunlight and at the end of three kilometres it started to rain. so i had to sprint to the nearest pavilion where i ended up standing with five old men.
after a moment i realised i was staring myopically at a rainbow between the trees. a few minutes after that i realised that there was actual water vapour rising in actual clouds off the actual track. when the rain got lighter i walked back with these clouds swirling around my feet so that my legs were decidedly warmer than the rest of me, and i saw a second rainbow across the canal and then a double rainbow in the sky.
very surreal.
there is probably some kind of inspirational poetry to be made of all this, only it started to pour again shortly after and i had to run the rest of the way home and it's jolly disconcerting to be running in warm late evening sunlight with cold lumps of rain splashing onto my shirt. i got home drenched and then the weather decided to own up and go completely grey and rain for the next twenty minutes.
oh. shi lin, elaine, i have discovered to my horror that i have no patience for sewing anymore. this will probably be a temporary state of affairs, but is horrifying all the same.

Re: sewing - it's okay. Hope you get your groove back soon; if not, leave it be.

Me again!
Haha, talk about crappy weather. I was supposed to go for a rehearsal today at 7pm. Left my army office at 615 with lots of time to spare. Until someone up there decided to dump his loaded shotgun on me. The result? I have a bag that is flooded, even though it leaks on all four sides.Oh but my friend managed to take 2 shots of a really rare phenomenon for rainbows. Hers was about 3 feet off the floor. There were cars and people moving through it (happened along a busy street)
Weird, but well things happen. I'm not going to fumble for any explanations yet.

Re: Me again!
Its not technically a band. Its just a silly performance I have to put up with some other people. And frankly right now it sucks. nvm. Things always work out in the end :DJuly 16 2005, 02:37:07 UTC 6 years ago
Re: Me again!
*winces*ah. i see. i know what it's like. i was in guitar in nj and i had these juniors who took it into their heads that they wanted to do a rock item.
which is how you got this chap saying, at the beginning, 'if you know the lyrics, please feel free to sing along. because i... may forget some.'

do rainbows make you happy? You seem almost alarmed by them.

rainbows are fine. i don't like being rained on, is all.
